sty.ma
The ELECOS in-house project "sty.ma" is a high-quality online shop for leather bags handmade in Italy that stands out from other providers on the market. In September 2026 we migrated the website from WordPress and WooCommerce to Webstudio.

Branding
The goal
An intuitive configurator should put customers in a position to design their own personal bag and choose from over 1,000,000 combinations for different bags and backpacks. The quality of the handmade bags stays in the foreground, so that customers receive a unique and long-lasting product.
Digitalisation
The challenges
One of the biggest challenges was making the configurator user-friendly and appealing, so that customers can put together their bag or backpack quickly and without complications. That called for detailed planning and technical implementation. A further challenge was to make the quality and authenticity of the handmade Italian leather bags tangible online and to market the shop so that it stands out from the competition and builds lasting customer loyalty.
E-commerce
The solution
An interdisciplinary team of designers, developers and marketing specialists built the configurator and the website together. Working with experienced Italian craftspeople and leather bag producers ensures the quality and authenticity of the products and makes individual customer requests possible. Targeted marketing measures such as search engine optimisation, social media campaigns and influencer collaborations draw the target group's attention to this unique offer.
Relaunch 2026
The migration to Webstudio
In September 2026 we migrated sty.ma from WordPress, WooCommerce and WPML to Webstudio. The bag configurator was rebuilt natively in Webstudio, including shareable design links. Instead of a shopping cart, customers collect the bags they want in an enquiry list and send it straight to sty.ma via a form. The website is bilingual (German and English) with clean hreflang references, and the blog runs on the Webstudio Content Engine.
